To celebrate the holiday season and spread awareness for the Central Florida shelters, adoption fees for dogs and cats have been reduced to $12 for 12 days in December. Orange County, Seminole County, Osceola County and the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando will be participating in the promotion entitled “12 Days of Petmas” from December 9, 2016 through December 23, 2016. All shelters hope to see their four-legged friends in homes for the holidays.
The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando has shelters in Orlando and Sanford that are open daily from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Additionally, we have several offsite adoption partners at local PetSmart stores.
“We are thrilled to again partner with Animal Services to provide this wonderful adoption event for families. We have many great dogs and cats ready to spend the holidays in their forever homes.,” said Stephen Bardy, Executive Director for Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.
“Our shelter receives an average of 53 dogs and cats every day,” said Dil Luther, Division Manager of Orange County Animal Services. “People and animals alike enjoy being surrounded with love and family around the holiday season and we are hoping this promotion matches our shelter pets with amazing, forever homes.”
“A pet’s home is where their heart is,” said Bob Hunter, Division Manager for Seminole County Animal Services. “Make a heartfelt connection at your local shelter, and adopt a lovable pet this Holiday season!”
The available animals include a range of ages, breeds and personalities. The $12 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, initial vaccinations, microchip identification, deworming, rabies vaccination and Adoption Welcome Kit.
