Toy Drive

Toys help shelter pets feel more comfortable till they find their forever home.  In addition to our ongoing ‘wish list’, the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is holding a ‘Toy Drive’ now through Friday, January 16th.

We are asking for help to collect items that our volunteers assemble into dog and cat enrichment toys. Most items are commonly found in households such as socks, water bottles and cardboard tubes.  A listing of the most pressing needs are listed below.  Items can be donated at both Pet Alliance locations, 2727 Conroy Road in Orlando or 2800 County Home Road in Sanford.

Pressing needs include: dog-with-kong

  • Tape (scotch and duct)
  • Small paper cupcake liners
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Feathers
  • Baby socks
  • Adult socks
  • Cotton balls
  • Dry catnip
  • Cardboard tubes (paper towel or bathroom tissue)
  • Craft puff balls
  • Soda/water bottles
  • Milk/juice jugs/cartons

Additionally, we would welcome the following items to assist with the Toy Drive:

  • Shoe boxes
  • Plates
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • KONGS
  • Drill
  • Dog/Cat treats
  • Rope
