Bark University offers a wide range of classes to fit your needs. From puppy socialization to advanced tricks and Canine Good Citizen certification, Bark U has a class for you!
Lead by our Bark U Professor, Diane Anderson CPDT-KA, our classes are $65.00 per course.
Classes run for multiple weeks. Check your specific class for further details.
In addition to classes, we also offer one-time 30 minute behavior evaluations/consultations for $30. Contact Diane to schedule these sessions.
For all classes, dogs must be current on vaccinations. Dogs should also be friendly toward other dogs and people. ALL DOGS MUST also have been vaccinated for the H3N2 flu.
Bark University Class Descriptions
Cost: $65 Length: 4 weeks
Requirements for Classes:
All dogs must be current on vaccines and provide vet records. All dogs must be dog and people friendly.
Puppy: This class focuses on SOCIALIZATION and is for puppies younger than 6 months. Puppy play time, strange surfaces, new people and places, loud noises, Leave it, Drop it and coming when called. First class is a PEOPLE ONLY Class.
Basic Obedience: This class is for dogs older than 6 months. Owner/dog will learn basic skills of Off, Easy, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Leash Walking, Leave it, Target, Back Up
Tricks: Prerequisite- Basic Obedience (not required to have been taken at Bark U.) This is for dogs 6 months and up that already know their basic cues. Owner/dog will learn Turn, roll over, crawl, hide, look, hoop jump, give 5 and a personalized trick.
Nose Work: Prerequisite- Basic Obedience (not required to have been taken at Bark U.) This is for dogs 6 months and older that already know basic obedience cues. Dogs will learn to search and find scents with their noses. They will learn to ‘tell’ their owners when they’ve found something. The courses become increasingly challenging each week.
Agility: Prerequisite- Basic Obedience (not required to have been taken at Bark U.) This is for dogs 10 months and up. Dogs will learn agility course one obstacle at a time, each week adding new challenges including Jump, Hurdle, Weave, Dog Walk, Tunnel, A-Frame and teeter-totter.
Canine Good Citizen: Prerequisite- Basic Obedience (not required to have been taken at Bark U.) This if for dogs 6 months and older that possess basic cues and a friendly, outgoing temperament. At the end of class dogs will be tested and receive a certification from the American Kennel Club.
