Giving DAY
Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is in the midst of its Almost Home Capital Campaign to build a new state-of-the-art shelter facility in Orlando. The goal is to raise $14-million to fund the design, construction, furnishings and capital reserve fund for the new building. We are currently just over $8-million towards our goal! This Giving Day, we have a special matching opportunity specifically for the new buildiing campaign. Orange County Government is providing Pet Alliance with a $500,000 matching grant. All of your gifts via the Giving Day donate page, will be matched dollar for dollar by the County! Our goal for Giving Day is to raise 20% of the match – or $100,000.
On September 27, YOU can come to the RESCUE for the dogs, cats, and pet owners in our community! Not only will your gift directly help the animals and people who need it most, but every dollar you donate will be DOUBLED and help TWICE as much thanks to a generous match by Orange County Government
Almost Home Capital Campaign
Building A Space for Hope, Shelter and Care
In 2020, Pet Alliance set out to raise $14-million to build its new home. As of now, we are well over half way to our goal with $9-million in funding secured. The land has been purchased, the builder selected and the architectural designs in process.
A new 25,000 square foot center will allow for:
- Enhanced space dedicated to adoption services
- Double the medical space to care for ill or injured animals
- Disease specific quarantine space for dogs and cats
- Modern shelter with air conditioning for dogs and cats
- Specialized housing for long-term dog residents
