We are deeply grateful for your support as we’ve worked to keep animals safe during Irma. As the storm subsides and the damage is assessed, we all know that it will take time and lots of effort to fully recover.
Thanks to your donations and $50,000 donations from both the Petco Foundation and Jasper Contractors, we were able to do the following for our community so far:
Animal Transfers
- 30 dogs and cats transferred in from Jacksonville Animal Care & Protective Services
- 20 dogs and cats transferred from agencies in Collier County with more on the way
- Working with Orange County Animal Services to transfer in pets because they are approaching maximum capacity
Donated Goods
- Coordinated the distribution of 43,000 pounds of dog food donated by Simmons Pet Food. The food was given to local animal rescues and community members in need
- Sending pet food and dog beds with our trailer to help animals in Key West as part of a donation drop off being coordinated by CrossFit Winter Garden
