Florida’s local, urban winery, Quantum Leap Winery, and ABC Fine Wine & Spirits joined forces with the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando in search of a spokesdog or spokescat to appear on the label of the 2015 ‘My Best Friend’ rescue red wine. The blend is now available at Quantum Leap Winery and in Orlando-area ABC Fine Wine & Spirits retail stores. Proceeds from the sale of the wine benefit the programs and services of the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando to help rescue pets in need.
Phillipe, the winning spokesdog, was surrendered to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando as a senior pet and despite his advanced age, is very active and serves as a therapy dog visiting a local rehabilitation center. The voting phase raised nearly $16,000 for the Pet Alliance and its local community programs.
“We are thrilled with the success of the search and the ability to raise additional funds through the sale of this unique wine,” said Fraily Rodriguez, Vice President of Community Initiatives for the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. “All the proceeds directly assist pets and their families in our local community through our services and programs.
