2023 In Review

Our 2023 in review has arrived! Check out what our organization was able to accomplish between January 1 – December 31 of last year:
  •  4,228 cats and dogs found their new families between our two shelter locations and offsite partners.
  • Our foster volunteers contributed 67,156 hours caring for 1,494 animals, mostly kittens and puppies.
  • Volunteers committed 80,033 hours between the shelter, clinics, events, fostering, and beyond.
  • Our Public Clinic saw 18,756 pets. They also gave 29,045 vaccines and performed 5,474 spay/neuter surgeries.
  • 678 pets were transferred from other shelters that did not have the time, space, or resources to care for them.
  • 3,813 cats were trapped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and returned to their outdoor homes by our Community Cat Initiative.
Thanks for coming along for the ride! Let’s make 2024 even better, together.

The Sanford shelter will open at 2PM on Saturday, April 27.
