Schuyler “Shy” Kelly is the volunteer we all hope to be one day – dedicated, committed, helpful and kind. Since starting her volunteer service in early March, Shy has quickly learned many different roles throughout the Orlando location. She volunteered her time with our 2019 summer camp program, as an administrative receptionist and, her personal favorite, as a Bark Buddy. You can often find her helping wherever it is needed most with a positive and can-do attitude. Shy accumulated more than 280 hours of volunteer service in just 5 months! She is knowledgeable and extremely reliable
She always offers help, has been very involved with dog enrichment and possesses great customer service skills with potential adopters.
Volunteers like Shy are the reason Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is able to thrive in the way it does. Volunteer dedication and determination contributed to more than 89,000 hours in the last year – that’s equivalent to 43 full-time staff members! Volunteers help to exercise dogs, care for foster animals, enrich the lives of cats, assist the shelter medical teams, work with the public clinics, assist with special events and help out in the Orlando business office. Thank you Shy for all over your dedication to making Central Florida a better place for people and their pets with Pet Alliance!
