Community Involvement

Our goal is to engage the community in a conversation about homeless pets with the purpose of elevating the status of cats and dogs.  Through character-based education, reading programs, summer camp for kids, and expert speakers for businesses, community organizations, and more, we teach empathy, respect, kindness, and humane choices.  In addition to education, we also offer a pet food pantry for local senior citizens.  Learn more about our community efforts and outreach through the links in this section.

Volunteer

pet_food-bowl-iconSupported by more than 40,000 hours of service last year, more than 1,000 active volunteers are the life blood of caring, compassion and hope at the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.  Volunteers help to enrich the lives of shelter animals, foster special needs dogs and cats in their homes, clean and organize in our veterinary clinics, and support special community events and offsite adoption activities.  We simply could not do what we do without volunteers.  Learn more about becoming a volunteer.
