Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando Elects Three New Board Members
Orlando, FL (July 25, 2022) – Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is pleased to announce the election of three new members to its board of directors. Jason Watkins, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Sanford Airport Authority, Padgett McCormick, Broker/Associate – Kelly Price & Co. and Kerri Farrell – Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Amerifactors – Gulf Coast Bank
“Our board of directors is a group of dedicated community members that are committed to the care and welfare of dogs and cats in central Florida,” said Stephen Bardy, executive director of Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. “We are excited to have them on the team and to use their unique skills and perspectives to advance the organization.”
Jason Watkins currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Sanford Airport Authority where he is a key member of the executive leadership team. His career spans 20-plus years of financial management and operational leadership experience.
“I’ve been committed to adopting rescues for the last fifteen years (currently have two dogs, two cats and a horse) and find it incredibly rewarding. Ultimately, there’s a lot of hard work and fund development that occurs behind the scenes to make pet rescue and adoption even possible. I wanted to become involved in a way that leverages the professional skills I’ve built up in finance, human resources, program management and information technology. Abandoned animals don’t naturally have the ability to advocate for themselves. It’s incumbent of caring, likeminded people to fill that void. I’m very appreciative for the opportunity to serve in this capacity.”
Padgett McCormick is an accomplished Broker/Associate for Kelly Price & Co. She is consistently a top producer in the local residential real estate market having earned numerous awards and accolades. Padgett is known for her exceptional service and commitment to her clients
“I was born a dog lover but my passion for rescue developed twelve and a half years ago when Emma, the product of a puppy mill entered my life and stole my heart. I am embarrassed of how unaware I was of the number of animals in need or the demand on animal rescues. Choosing to serve Pet Alliance is a part of my effort to honor her life and hopefully improve the lives of other rescues like her.”
Kerri Farrell is a seasoned marketing professional with more than 25 years of experience leading and enhancing the marketing strategies for world-class brands. She spent 17 years at Walt Disney Parks before starting her current role as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Amerifactors – Gulf Coast Bank.
“Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando staff does tremendous work advancing pet welfare in the Central Florida area. I have enjoyed being a volunteer with the organization for many years. Their values resonate and align with mine, making this a very exciting opportunity to be a PAGO board member and help further their mission.”
