It was a day for the dogs (and the occasional cat), as thousands of pet people came out to support Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando’s 28th annual Paws in the Park — Orlando Largest Pet Parade & Festival! It was a record-breaking year, with $154,000 raised to support Pet Alliance’s mission of caring, compassion, and hope for the over 6,600 homeless dogs and cats who temporarily call Pet Alliance home. In an amazing turn of events, we anticipate that this number will continue to rise as funds are still coming in!
But the excitement doesn’t end there! EIGHT shelter dogs found their furever homes while at the Pet First Adoption Zone at Paws in the Park!
Attendees enjoyed a fun-filled day of dog and human activities including the always popular dock diving, the Zesty Paws lure courses and even had a chance to win a $200 cash prize in the PAWrade Costume Contest sponsored by Loews Hotels & Co.
The fun didn’t stop there as more than 60 vendors and 14 food trucks were located throughout Lake Eola for shopping and delicious food options. The beer/cocktail garden was a popular hangout for dogs and humans alike, with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, V Group, Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co., PRP Wine, Chihuahua Cerveza, and Newground all in attendance!
Thank you to all of our sponsors, vendors and the walkers that registered and raised money for making the day an enormous success! We’ll be back next year at Lake Eola Park on February 6, 2021.
